Young Farmers Summer Conference
The 2011 Young Farmers Summer Conference will be held in Conjunction with the 2011 Commodity Producers Conference in Huntsville, Alabama August 4-8.
We hope to have a large number of county Young Farmers members attend! Our features speaker for the Saturday session is one of the most sought-after farm family business speakers available today, Jolene Brown . Jolene will speak to both the Young Farmers and the Commodity Producers groups about running business with a family. A grain farmer from Iowa, Brown is touted for bringing humor, hope, and helpful ideas to the people of agriculture.
We will also be holding the preliminary rounds of the Young Farmers Discussion Meet and the Excellence in Agriculture Competition on Saturday morning, August 6, of the conference.
Please note a few important details:
1. Registration for the Commodity Conference is 'buffet style' meaning that you can register for only the events you wish to attend, and you do not have to register for the entire conference. At a minimum, DM and EA contestants must be registered for the Saturday portion of the Conference, including the Saturday Evening banquet, where the finalists will be announced.
2. Deadline for contest entries is June 30, 2011 at 4:45 PM CST. All applications must be received by then or they will not be considered.
3. Contact your county president for registration info for the Commodity Conference.
